Hemu Grassland is in the mountain fault-subsidence
basin in the area where Kanas River and Hemu River meet. In
surrounding area of basin, mountain body is thick, the top is
round, and landforms are complicated and Hemu River flows northeast
to southwest through the basin, cutting the grassland into two
halves. On the shadow slope there is luxuriant forest, in which
red deer, marmot and snowy cock perch.
